As a final note: The dosage is quite low and should not be used more than 1g to 2g daily. I'm not convinced by the efficacy of this supplement when it comes to improving athletic performance or preventing or improving conditions related to low testosterone levels by altering hormones.

Objectives: To conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis regarding the efficacy and safety of inhaled corticosteroids for COPD exacerbations. Study Design: Cross-sectional and prospective study. Setting: European Community Prospective Registry. Patient(s): A retrospective analysis of 809 patients with COPD, consecutively enrolled at a tertiary care centre in Greece, who received inhaled corticosteroids in a multicenter study (Ongidis, unpublished data, 2011). Intervention(s): Patients were randomly assigned to receive either inhaled corticosteroids, metronidazole (DMZ) or placebo (P; non-standardised value [N.S.v.]; 1:0 in an attempt to account for possible random error) for up to 3 months. Patients were followed up for a mean follow-up period of 7.9 months. Main outcome measures: Safety of inhaled corticosteroids in patients with acute symptoms of COPD [ICD13]. Results: Analyses of adverse reactions associated with inhaled corticosteroids revealed significant adverse reactions were seen with DMZ, including dyspnea, tachycardia, confusion, sedation and hypoperfusion. The adverse reactions of DMZ were reported as either moderate (n = 4) or high (n = 12; P = .012) in severity. Mild adverse reactions such as abdominal pain, nausea, pruritus, dyspnea, dizziness and constipation were common. There was a correlation between symptoms and duration of administration of inhaled corticosteroids, but not between doses or duration of administration of inhaled corticosteroids. Conclusions: The data suggest that, at least as effective as DMZ in reducing cough and upper airway hyperresponsiveness among patients with COPD, inhaled corticosteroids may be of benefit in reducing abdominal pain, dyspnea, pruritus, and dizziness.
